Official Launch and co-design Workshop

The Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand Health Literacy Alliance (AANZHLA) was officially launched through an inaugural co-design workshop that brought together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, clinicians, consumers and community representatives from across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The workshop provided an opportunity for participants to collaboratively establish AANZHLA’s Common Purpose Statement and strategic objectives, ensuring the Alliance is grounded in shared priorities and collective action. Through facilitated discussions and co-design activities, participants identified key opportunities to strengthen collaboration, build capacity, advance research and practice, and promote health literacy as a driver of equitable health outcomes across the region.

Health Literacy Exchange 1 - Webinar

The Health Literacy Exchange is a series of structured exchanges bringing together researchers, clinicians, consumers, policy makers and other relevant interest-holders to share evidence and explore what is being done across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Each exchange combines a state-of-the-science webinar with an Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand roundtable; a practical conversation about local initiatives, challenges, and opportunities. Exchange 1 focused on 'Health Literacy Education & Training for Health Professionals: What Works, What Matters, and What’s Next?'. The state-of-the-science webinar was lead by Professor Cliff Coleman.
